This wealthy, heavily forested land is mostly protected from its neighbors by mountains. Its unfortunate history is the result of the kingdom being a gathering place for refugees and exiles; this or that group struggled for dominance for its history, until it was taken over by roaving bands from Damondaen who needed (or wanted) colonies. The inhabitants had to band together to throw off the mother country, which exacted very heavy tribute, and were rushtless in punishing infraction.

It was only two hundred years ago that Teldenor established its independence, and that after Damondaen had to focus its ferocity elsewhere. Since then, it's sustained several revolutions and palace coups. The current royal family is the Landarli family, who have been a stable presence in Fileas, the capital, for a long time.
