An Earth refugee taken in by Clair Sherwood of Mearsies Heili. He used to be named Richard Ricardo Richardson II. When he was a small child, he was put under a spell that accidentally made him take animal shapes at least once a day. He turns this strange ability to his advantage, changing shape to spy for Clair on Mearsies Heili's enemies when they are about. Ben doesn't like to take the shape of anything smaller than a bird.[1]
