These Islands, like so many others, were also known as "Pirate Islands." These rugged islands down below the equally rugged west coast of the twisted land connecting Toar to Goerael were long infested with pirates who had the treacherous, much-befogged waters charted. For a time the Venn maintained a base there in part to watch Toar and in part to gain access to coffee (which they never really adopted as a drink) but for such tiny islands it took far too many ships and men to defend it, and they abandoned it. Their castle and buildings were promptly adopted by a colorful series of pirates chieftains, pretty all of whom came to a violent end.

Coffee and spice was the main trade here.
