Long part of Anaeran-Adrani, Enaeran (shift in language) split off under the restless, charismatic leadership of the Elsarion family, whose young unfortunately hearkened back to an imagined greatness of their Marloven ancestors. This end of the mighty river valley being mostly plains, the population was more mobile, and horse oriented, which created friction with the farmers of the eastern and southern portions of the area. This friction gave rise to the split in the 4200s.

The Elsarions' tendency to restless desire for action included feuding with one another, and there were subsequently ructions every generation or so, few kignships being handed over peacefully. The ancient family castle tucked against the western mountains became the traditional place to exile heirs.
