A silver hatpin, with the head carved to look like a feather or leaf, that Lilith the Guardian loans to Cassandra Muria. It grows into a powerful sword whenever Norsundrians are around, and the hatpin’s magic prevents any Norsundrian from touching it. [1] It is therefore also very useful for alerting its bearer to impending danger. When the sword cuts anyone under Norsunder’s magic, it burns “like deep-winter ice.” [2] Lilith’s hatpin changes hands a few times in Fleeing Peace, ending up with Liere Fer Eider.
