This land is now mostly forest. It was once edge land, grassy plain, but gradual alteration in the local climate cooled it.

The country was once a part of Idayago. It was always sparsely populated, its villages isolated. Wool was the main production, until the change in climate drove the sheep herders north. Beekeeping is still a big part of the area--Idayagan honey is a delicacy in many other lands, the flavors being closely guarded secrets.

In the southernmost heights, now well grown over, some of the flying folk interact with maulan and morvende, but no sunsider humans know what they trade, or talk about.
