This type of spell can be done with both light and dark magic, but the results are very different. In light magic it stops your growth only if you have not reached maturity yet. It keeps you the same age until you reverse the spell, and then you continue to grow from where you stopped. In dark magic you can do this at any point, but when you reverse the spell you age rapidly to where you were supposed to. The ancient Sartorans could control aging without a spell, merely with their minds, but this ability is now lost. [1]
