More of a territory than a country. Situated below the Redmond Mountains, it is largely a sandy, grassy expanse. It could be considered a kind of common for Ergoramar and Lamanca but it also serves as a buffer. Some very ancient mining in the Redmonds left at least a trace of government, mostly ranging to make sure that bandits and the like don't find the place a convenient headquarters.

The name "Ergamond" is an artifact from the wilder old days, when Fal was being established. "Mond" means "hand" in Old Sartoran, which can also mean "leader" as of a band. "Redmond" was the sobriquet of a leader of an early band of what could be called rangers who made it their business to protect the locals (mostly from the Fals, if not bandit groups).
