Ogan is at the extreme south end of the Halian Subcontinent. Unlike the rest of Halia, it never belonged to the Marlovan empire--it was far too isolated, rough in terrain, and sparely populated to be either desirable in their eyes, or defensible. It mostly existed as a stopping place to and from other areas for ships seeking shelter from storms, as its coast is lined with inlets. The river dividing it from Ahshtanland ends at a natural harbor that was regularly taken by pirates and then wrested back.
