Deirdre Weiss, a normal Chicago girl, is asked to babysit for her neighbour. Though the job seems ordinary, the child she is keeping quiet is actually Irtur Vithyavadnais from Sartorias-deles, kidnapped by her neighbour known as Mr. Blick (who is really Kessler Sonscarna). So Deirdre and her friend Frederic Holmes try to help Irtur escape.

Meanwhile, back on Sartorias-deles a crisis is occuring on the Delfin Islands that leads Wende Beditha to escape to try to help an enchanted country.
